Rotate an Image Online

Choose or drag in JPG, PNG, and WebP files. You can add more to the list later, up to 20 images total. Each file can be up to 10 MB.

Set the angle and optional flip on the selected image, then select Apply to all to copy those settings to the batch. Select any image in the list to give it a different angle or flip.

Check the preview for each image, then select the ZIP button to download the set. Each rotated file keeps its source format and uses a filename based on the original; duplicate names get a number added.

Select an image, then drag the angle slider or type a value from −180° to 180°. Enter 90° to rotate clockwise, −90° to rotate counterclockwise, or 180° to turn it upside down. Use Horizontal or Vertical to flip it.

Compare the original and result side by side. Select Download for one image, or use the ZIP button to save all images in the batch.

Rotate the picture 90° or 180° before you attach it to an email, add it to a listing, or share it on social media. The downloaded copy stores the visible orientation in the rendered image.

A scan does not always need a full quarter turn. Enter a small positive or negative angle to make a receipt, worksheet, or signed page easier to read.

Batch rotate product shots or screenshots that all face the wrong way, then adjust any exceptions before adding them to a storefront, presentation, or post.

Use Horizontal to reverse left and right, or Vertical to reverse top and bottom. A flip changes the reflection; a rotation turns the whole picture around its center.

Phone and camera photos may store the pixels in one direction and use an EXIF orientation tag to tell apps how to display them. If another app ignores that tag, the same file can appear sideways or upside down. See MDN’s explanation of EXIF-based image orientation.

This image rotator renders the visible result into a new file. That makes the chosen orientation part of the downloaded image instead of depending on the original display instruction.

The tool keeps the original pixel dimensions at 0°, 90°, 180°, and −90°; quarter turns swap the width and height. PNG output uses PNG encoding, while JPG and WebP are re-encoded when the new file is created. A custom off-axis angle also resamples pixels, so very fine details can soften slightly.

For the best result, start with the highest-quality original rather than a copy that has already been saved several times.

No part of the source image is intentionally cropped. For a custom angle, the output canvas expands to fit the rotated picture. The exposed corners are transparent in PNG and WebP files and white in JPG files.
